El Sol Mini Suite
The Tulemar Mini Suites consist of El Sol and La Luna, housed together in a private villa in the heart of Tulemar. These suites can be rented independently or together, as there is a connecting door within the suites, similar to a hotel. This door is soundproof and secure. These suites are the smallest accommodations in Tulemar and also some of the nicest. The smaller size is reflected in the nightly rate making these the best value in Tulemar, even though they come with a balcony and ocean views!
El Sol has a king bed, small table and chairs and a TV in the bedroom plus a bath with a walk in shower. There is a mini-bar complete with sink, small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The balcony has wonderful ocean views looking over the treetop canopy. Monkeys, sloths and exotic birds can often be seen from here. The balcony contains seating and a hammock.
This suite is handicapped accessible as well.
Check out the floor plans and the photos for details.
Use of the four resort pools.

Thank you Tulemar for an outstanding vacation. We stayed in Sol Mini Suite while our friends were in Luna Mini Suite. The level of service from the booking all the way through our stay was exceptional. The staff at Tulemar took care of all the details and we were able to relax and have a wonderful vacation. Each day our concierge would find us to see if we needed anything and help us take care of dinner plans. The beach was outstanding as was the pool near the restaurant. We were blown away by Costa Rica and Tulemar had a lot to do with that. We will definitely be back.

This was our first time in Costa Rica. The resort is well kept and very friendly. Our concierge was at the entrance when we arrived and drove us to our suite which was ready early despite the 3 pm check in time. We stayed for a week in El Sol, a suite in a house. The resort has ocean views almost everywhere you go and has its own beach. You never feel cramped as the resort is very spacious for the amount of people staying there. The staff is very friendly and calls you by name as soon as they meet you. We would definitely love to come back with a big group and rent a house in the future.

My husband and I stayed in one of the new mini-suites, El Sol. It was everything we were hoping for! We didn't plan on spending much time in our room so the size was not a problem. The outdoor space had an amazing view of the water and we even had some white faced monkeys visit us while we were enjoying breakfast on the patio. We loved the sunset from the mirador (it's a scenic overlook at the top of the south beach trail).
The beach was a very short walk and was never crowded. David always greeted us with a smile and fresh towels. The complimentary kayaks and boogie boards were a nice touch also.
Our concierge was extremely helpful while we were planning our trip. He booked the excursions for us and took us to the store even though we could have walked there. He really went above and beyond though when he took us down to Manuel Antonio National Park and also to Quepos. It felt like we were visiting a friend.
The locals really want you to enjoy their country and it shows. The staff at Tulemar take that attitude to a whole new level. If you want to be treated like royalty, visit Costa Rica and stay at Tulemar! We will be back!

We loved our unit, the staff, the restaurant, the beach, the list goes on. What is there not to love?
Our experience with the booking staff was impeccable - communications were prompt and thorough. They also followed up prior to our trip to see if we needed to book excursions, transportation, etc.
We stayed in the El Sol Mini Suite, which was perfect for the two of us. It had a large bathroom with shower, small kitchen (microwave, sink, mini fridge), a king size bed, and a beautiful balcony with an ocean view, a hammock, 2 chairs and a small table. Looking out from our balcony, we could barely see any of the units around us, but we could see (and hear) lots of birds, as well as butterflies. We had a capuchin monkey visit us one morning in the giant tree next to our unit.
We spent some time at the beach. We lounged, had drinks (get the Costa Rican Mojito!), ate lunch, and took out a kayak. It was a perfect beach day and the staff there was so helpful and friendly. It is not the bluest of water there, due to the volcanic sand, but it was still nice for a swim with almost-too-warm-waters. We also visited the adult pool which is very small and quite warm, but beautiful. It was deserted when we arrived and we only had one other couple join us. We also got to see and hear the scarlet macaw that lives in a tree nearby. The family pool was a bit larger and not crowded either.
We had the breakfast buffet at the restaurant 3 mornings, which was very tasty and included a custom egg station. We did happy hour and dinner there one night, as well, which we also enjoyed. We have to call out our very friendly waitress, Daniella, who took the time to show us monkeys and sloths in nearby trees, suggest places to visit, how to get there, etc.
The wildlife on the resort property was incredible. We saw sloths, capuchin monkeys, toucans, macaws, and iguanas, among others. The resort has a resident guide (Roger) who is available to be booked at no cost. We talked to a couple who spent a few hours with him and they spotted over 20 sloths.
The resort was conveniently located on the bus route, which we took into the park. There were also some restaurants and a couple of grocery stores in walking distance. We highly recommend Tulemar. Stay more than 3 nights - you will love it.
